In this course, the task was to develop a near-zero energy administration building for an innovative, future-oriented company. We have used the planning method “from the inside out”, which is based fully on comfort criteria.

An adaptive building allows the user to achieve the desired comfort by manipulating the building without active building technology (such as opening and closing windows, shading or ventilation).

Such a building does primarily count on having active users.

In the course, we also dealt with the following topics: daylight, natural ventilation, summer thermal insulation, visual comfort, thermal simulation of the building (program Primero), regenerative building technology, primary energy requirements.
